A few months back we traveled to Washington, DC to help judge the “Just for Kids State Dinner” recipe contest.
We thought that was the ultimate in cool … until we were invited to attend — AND SPEAK — at the State Dinner in August! Nothing could get better than that.
And then we were told the biggest news of all… Marshall would be introduce the First Lady herself.

If you’re an egg roll lover, you’re in for a special treat. Today, Dan is sharing his famous egg roll recipe! Here goes nothin’:
Ingredients:
• 1 lb lean ground pork (or the meat of your choice) • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1 tsp ground ginger • Pinch of salt • Veggies of your choice (We used carrots, cabbage, snow peas, celery, and onion) • Egg roll wrappers (found in the produce section) • Seed oil of your choice
Instructions:
1) Brown meat in pan with garlic powder, ground ginger, and salt. Set aside in large bowl.

Salsa is one of our favorite condiments. Not only is it healthy, but it requires minimal ingredients, minimal work, and you can eat it on anything.

Last night we made a tasty Golden Pepper Salsa that we wound up using again this morning. Try it out!
Ingredients
1 medium yellow pepper 1 medium orange pepper 1 medium green apple 1 bunch of cilantro Lemon juice Salt and pepper to taste
